Teachers Oppose Cluster System in KP Schools


All Primary Teachers Association, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, on Thursday staged a protest rally against the cluster system, asking the provincial government to take back the decision as that would create rift among the community.
Led by provincial president of the association Malik Khalid Khan, the protesting teachers were holding banners and placards inscribed with slogans against the cluster system, undue interference by member provincial assemblies and politicians in the Education Department.
Speaking on the occasion, Malik Khalid said that the primary teachers would not cooperate with officials, principals and teachers of high schools in the locality. He said ad hoc recruitment in the Education Department amounted to political interference and inducting activists of ruling parties in the government schools.
The teachers body office-bearer added that the primary teachers had launched a protest movement against cluster system across the province and if the provincial government did not review the decision, they would boycott the classes.The news.
