Students Visit Quaid-i-Azam University Laboratories


Students and teachers of the Springfield Public School and College, Cambridge Branch, Rawalpindi, visited the Quaid-i-Azam University (QAU), says a press release.
The trip provided students a chance to observe the applied research work by Pakistani scientists.
Under the supervision of Ms. Tamkina Zar, students visited modern laboratories of Biology and Chemistry Departments. Students took keen interest in General Biochemistry Laboratory, Electron Microscope Laboratory, Human Genetic Laboratory, Cell & Tissue Laboratory and Chemistry Computational Laboratory. Students observed how scientists were working in laboratories with environmental impurities, preparation of hepatitis and cancer vaccines, cultivation of endangered plants in laboratories and research on congenital-inherited human genetic disorder. It was an eye-opener for students about higher education and the scope of sciences in Pakistan.The news.
