International Conference on ‘Nato-Pakistan Relations in SASSI University


A two-day international conference on ‘Nato-Pakistan Relations: Post-2014,’ under the auspices of South Asian Strategic Institute (SASSI) University will be held in Islamabad starting Tuesday (February 11), says a press release issued here on Sunday.
The conference is being organised with the collaboration of Nato partners to deliberate different aspects of the Pakistan-Nato cooperation after the withdrawal of foreign forces from Afghanistan by the end of this year.
Senior government officials, parliamentarians, academicians, civil society and military & strategy experts have been invited to join the closed door and public debates in the seminar.
It will review the South Asian experience in strengthening stability in the region to enhance understanding of approaches to post-2014 security situation. It is pertinent to note that Pakistan is one of the major non-Nato allies.
The closed door and public discussions are aimed to identify trends and provide a forum for Pakistan military, government officials, security policy experts, civil society, academicians and Nato representatives to formulate the future directions and priorities for strategic stability in South Asia..The news.
