Female Teachers Threaten Protest in Lakki Marwat


The all primary schoolteachers association has threatened to launch protest movement if the government didn’t upgrade female teachers without delay.
Talking to reporters here on Monday, the association’s district general secretary Mohammad Ibrahim and Naurang tehsil president Irfanullah Khan said that the concerned authorities were not serious in upgrading female primary schoolteachers to BPS-14 and 15, causing unrest among them.
They also demanded of the authorities concerned to release second installment of conditional grant to the girls’ primary schools to provide basic facilities to schools, like construction of additional classrooms, boundary walls, drinking water and electrification facilities.
The teachers also asked the government to not implement the cluster school supervision plan, and accept the charter of demands put forward by the association’s provincial president Malik Khalid.Dawn.
