Federal Govt School Teachers Demand Promotion

The Federal Government School and College Academic Staff Association appealed to the Federal Directorate of Education Director General (FDE) Dr Shaheena to make arrangements for the promotion of the teachers who have been waiting for their promotions for the last many years.
In a press release, the Federal Government School and College Academic Staff Association General Secretary Tahira Iqbal maintained that as many as three seats of BPS-20, twenty seats of BPS-19 and thirty seats of BPS-18 had been lying vacant since September 2011 when the Departmental Promotion Committee (DPC) meeting was held and the teachers of BPS-17, 18 and 19 had been waiting for their promotion.
She said that many schools and colleges had been without principals for the last many years and in the absence proper heads of these institutions, the educational process was affecting.
She called upon the high-ups in the Federal Directorate of Education (FDE) and the Ministry of Capital Administration and Development Division that the arrangements be made for holding the DPC meeting so that the teachers might be promoted in due course of time.The news.
