Air University Observes Faiz Day


Islamabad:The Faculty of Social Sciences at Air University has paid tribute to the legendary poet Faiz Ahmed Faiz by observing ‘Faiz Day’ here at the campus, says a press release.
The chief guest on the occasion, Fauzia Aziz Minallah, the founder and director of Funkor Child Art Centre, appreciated the students’ efforts in social activities beside the routine studies. In her address, she expressed that we should maintain our cultural legacy and follow the thoughts of national literary icons like Faiz Ahmed Faiz.
The function started with a documentary produced by students on the life span of Faiz Ahmed Faiz.
Later on, the function was charmed with ‘Bait Bazi’, ‘Qawwali’, speeches and songs.
Air University Director Student Affairs AVM (r) Tariq Mateen gave away the souvenir to the chief guest and also thanked to Mrs. Ahmareen Farah, in-charge of Cultural Society along with Adnan Rana, Malik Waleed, and Mashall for organising a cheerful day.
